Cleaning plants
for fruits & vegetables
PureFlow® NATURE
Fruits and vegetables are cleaned before processing. The goods are washed in containers and fed to processing in so-called water tunnels.
Our customer has 4 cleaning plants. At each plant, a high dirt load is generated by dust, soil, stems, leaves, insects, etc. The filter sand became considerably dirty in a short time and the high dirt load blocked the filter flow.
All filters as well as the tunnels had to be cleaned several times a day at great expense, and the sand filter material had to be changed and disposed of.

PureFlow® INDUSTRY
Flue gases are formed as volatile combustion products of solid fuels. At our customer (maritime shipping), the flue gas washout produces heavily contaminated fluids.
These cannot be discharged unpurified into the seawater. Filtration with PureFlow has significantly improved the solids content (TSS) of contaminants as well as the turbidity (FNU).

Importing deep sea shrimp from the Caribbean for upscale restaurants and delis requires incredible logistical effort and has enormous transportation distances.
Meanwhile, there are farms in Europe that specialize in breeding. In these farms the climatic conditions of the Caribbean are created. Due to animal excrement and feed, the water in these plants becomes polluted very quickly and very heavily and must be cleaned permanently. Cost-intensive drum washing systems are used for this purpose.
Depending on the size of the plant, up to 60 cbm of water was contaminated and consumed to a large extent every day for cleaning the washing systems. By using PureFlow® in three upstream filters (coarse pre-filter, fine pre-filter, fine filter), almost all solids could be filtered out. Only turbid matter enters the water treatment process. This not only makes the entire technical system of the drum washing plant superfluous, but also reduced water consumption to Ø 5 cbm.
This resulted in a significant reduction in further operating and energy costs and a further benefit: The old filter elements are recycled and thus processed into new products such as Euro flat pallets.
